Fresh off his set at the BET Awards last weekend where he gave a stirring performance of “Alright,” Kendrick Lamar has unveiled the video for his latest single—and you're bound to recognize his whereabouts.
The video—clocking in at almost seven minutes—shows Lamar doing some pretty crazy stunts; from riding around in a car and throwing out $100 bills while doing donuts in an Oakland parking lot, to standing atop streetlights outside Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center. Be on the lookout for picturesque shots of Lake Merritt, the Bay Bridge, and more East Bay landmarks as Lamar shows off his parkour skills.
The visually stunning video, directed by Colin Tilley, also echoes the lyrical message of “Alright,” and is also enhanced by stark images reflecting the tensions between police and black America. Watch the harrowing video below:
