After a sold-out run in New York, local playwright Anne Washburn's Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Playmakes its SF premiere at A.C.T. this month. As a group of strangers bond by recreating "Cape Feare," one of the most celebrated episodes of The Simpsons, they realize that one way to survive their post-apocalyptic existence is to tell stories of the past and pieve together long-lost cultural treasures. Yarn by yarn, the characters, driven by the power of multigenerational storytelling, begin to understand their present circumstances.
Runs from February 18 through March 15 at A.C.T. Theater (TenderNob). Get tickets here.
