Head out to the Academy of Sciences tonight for the sporty themed, Workout NightLife -- a special event in preparation of the annual San Francisco Marathon.
At NightLife, enjoy a performance by CHEER SF, a "quirky workout attire" costume contest (Add a tutu and some sparkles from your Burning Man bin for this bit!), partake in a yoga session with Lululemon, and zumba your way through tunes by DJ Kap10. Then, indulge in some guilt-free carbo-loading before the SF Marathon this Sunday.
When it comes to workout wear, it's okay to be a brand-whore -- mix and max what works for you. We recommend this Stella McCartney for Adidas neon yellow windbreaker to cut the foggy morning chill. Once you're warmed up, stay cool in this Nike Dri-FIT half-zip, and super sleek Under Armour capris that compress key muscle groups for a quicker recovery. For shoes, we're guessing you have a trusted pair you've been training vigorously in, but if not, Asics are packed with comfort and support.
Even if marathons aren't your thing, check out these six staples for every active wardrobe:
1. Under Armour Heat Gear Capri Compression Tights, $34.99
2. Asics Gel-DS Trainer 15, $77
3. Nike Dedication II Sports Bra, $38
4. Lucy Swift Sock, $14
5. Adidas by Stella McCartney Run Jacket, $160
6. Nike Denier Differential Half-Zip Running Shirt, $60
