While some SF hipsters might cringe at the idea of ditching their denim skinnies, high-waisted, wide-leg pants are back this season thanks to designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, and Zac Posen. We, (and Rachel Zoe), personally love the somewhat tongue-twisting '70s inspired trend, but are you smitten?

Last week, we hit the streets and asked a number of stylish men and women their thoughts on the latest trend. The results? With the exception of a couple of naysayers, both sexes were pretty much on board with the sophisticated pant silhouette. Hannah Weil, a fellow fashion lover from the Cow Hollow states, "I love the skinny jean, and it’s not going anywhere, but effortless, casual dressing this season is about the trouser. They’re so much more personal than denim too, so many more ways to wear it, and make it your own — and in a sea of blue jeans, this is an amazing alternative that’s menswear-inspired, but still so feminine and so chic."
