The Kingfisher Collective, all about the coastal lifestyle, opens its temporary Stinson Beach doors July 1st through 4th. Spoke & Weal Rolls Into Palo Alto

Silicon Valley devotees of superstar stylist Jon Reyman and color goddess Christine Thompson no longer have to trek into the city to get their tresses did. A Palo Alto outpost of Spoke & Weal, known for its creativity and dry-cutting techniques, recently opened on California Avenue. This marks salon number five for the darling of fashion glossies—locations outside the Bay Area include L.A., Chicago and NYC. The minimalist-cool space is housed in a building owned by a local charity, which means a portion of the rent goes to underprivileged kids. Madison Reed Color Bar Debuts in the Mission

San Francisco women looking for reasonably priced salon-quality hair color, including routine gray coverage, can thank their lucky strands that Madison Reed is based here. The mobile-first, at-home hair color brand just opened its first IRL Color Bar within the company's Mission HQ. Services include everything from demi-permanent color ($35) and roots-only permanent color ($60) to roots + gloss + blowout ($120). All MR colors are made without ammonia, parabens and glutens, and are enriched with good stuff like argan oil, keratin and ginseng root.
