Head chef Isaac Miller and mixologist Kate Bolton of Maven SF poured their new Hangar 1 Vodka summer cocktail for the very first time this past week at local tech startup CreativeLive's office happy hour.
The pair scoured nearby farmers markets for the perfect combination of fresh ingredients to not only infuse the vodka with, but structure a custom cocktail around. They call it the N.Y.M.G.S. (Not Your Marina Girl Salad), a fitting title considering the leafy products they chose: arugula, fennel, orange zest, and nasturtium flowers. Miller did what he does best by supplying some bomb bites to compliment the cocktail: lentil crepes with fennel confit, nasturtium goat cheese, and saffron gel. The food and drink pairing was a huge hit among CreativeLive employees who sipped and snacked in the sunshine atop their office's roof deck. Yes, roof deck as in a wide-open space with unobstructed panoramic views of SF. The office envy is real.
