Bay Area jewelry extraordinaire, Melissa Joy Manning, is known for her eclectic range of rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, but come Spring, the designer plans to push the envelope even further with an exclusive team up with her funky designer friend, Doo.Ri. The results are a mash-up of Joy Manning's organic aesthetic mixed in with Doo.Ri's fashion-forward ways. The eco-friendly line, inspired by cool, not creepy, fallen spider webs include this rad necklace seen left, along with drippy chain and stone embellished cuff bracelets. Abstract, artsy, and absolutely amazing. Prices range from $200 to $1,000 and will be available starting Spring.
But even cooler is the fact that Melissa Joy Manning is opening her first retail boutique in Berkeley. The doors will officially open in 2011, but she's throwing an opening party on December 16, and you're invited! Donum Estate will be pouring wine, champagne will be flowing, and you can even snatch up a goodie gift bag. Be there. 12/16; 5 - 9 p.m., 1827 Fifth St., Berkeley
