They say that music can heal the soul in times of great sorrow. Well it, too, can help build communities back up from the ashes.

Come next Thursday, November 9th, Grammy award-winning acts like Metallica and Dave Matthews will play at AT&T Stadium with 100 percent of ticket sales going to the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund, which established a relief fund for vulnerable, low-income communities impacted by the fires, including vineyard workers, students and displaced youth, and immigrants. The money raised will be used to address the foremost pressing issues; and the best seats in the house will be given to first responders, volunteers, and families impacted by the firestorms.

The star-studded show is the first altruist collaborative venture of Band Together Bay Area initiative, a coalition of Bay Area businesses and community leaders that have joined forces to offer further financial support to local relief and long-term recovery endeavors across the affected region. As a response to what has been labeled the most destructive and deadliest disaster in California history, the group has raised an initial $6.5 million from partners and founding sponsors including Salesforce, Google, and Live Nation, just to name a few.

This is yet another example of the community rallying in ways that are as reassuring as they are uplifting; with volunteers coming out in troves, shelters being inundated with more donations than they know what to do with, and millions of charitable dollars being raised for various disaster relief efforts across the Bay Area. Now, musical forces come together to further spur along recovery undertakings in a night of stellar tunes.
