Hutchinson is a creation of International Orange Spa founder Kary Chendo and Miranda Abrams. The tiny 100-square-foot space sells fine jewelry by Carolina Bucci, Temple St Clair, Monique Pean, Todd Reed, Cathy Waterman, Kendall Conrad, and Renee Sheppard.
Les Mechantes, Styleseat, Rocksbox and Threadflip are teaming up for a holiday pop-up party tonight, Wednesday, December 17 at 6pm at StyleSeat's headquarters (218a Clara Street). Enjoy a complimentary manicure, cocktails, and a raffle while you shop.
Mission Workshop, which makes weatherproof bags and apparel, has expanded its SF headquarters to include a new storefront and event space at 541 Valencia. The new retail store joins the original Rondel Alley workspace through a back wall, which gives the storefront direct access to Valencia. The new space will sell Mission Workshop bags along with the brand's ACRE and Advanced Projects series apparel.
Self Edge, your spot at 714 Valencia (at 18th) for Japanese and selvedge denim, is hosting a jewelry trunk show this weekend featuring work by Josh Warner, founder and designer of Good Art. Stop by onSaturday, December 20 from 12 to 7pm or on Sunday, December 21 between 12 and 5pm. The jewelry is handmade in Los Angeles, and Warner will be at the shop all weekend to chat and answer questions.

Academy of Art University has opened its own dedicated boutique off of Union Square at 657 Sutter. SHOP657 features brands created by AAU alum including Tommy Pham of San Francycle, Betheny Meuleners of Mansoor Scott, Cristina Palomo-Nelson of Freda Salvador, Agustin Sanders of Apartment 415 and Konstantina Tzovolou shoes.
Legion at 679 Clay Street is hosting a holiday-slash-one-year-anniversary party on Friday, December 19 from from 4 until 8pm. It will also be the shop's first art show in a new upstairs gallery, featuring work by SF artists Emily Proud and Kristin Farr. Enjoy beverages from Speakeasy Ales & Lagers plus wine and snacks. SF-based Spicer Bags had opened its first storefront in the Dogpatch. Spicer on Third at 2341 3rd Street features its own bags, plus American-made gifts and home decor including ceramics, gift wrap, jewelry, and dog accessories.
