The Golden State Warriors are on fire. Fresh off their 2015 NBA Championship win, the Warriors made history with 73 wins in a single season, and are currently battling the Cleveland Cavaliers (again) for back-to-back championships. But we don't have to tell you, right? It seems the entire Bay Area has been swept up in the Warriors fever.
To showcase just how much the East Bay appreciates the Warriors, The Oakland Museum of California is unveiling a new 350-square-foot installation, Warriors Pride, Oakland Pride, highlighting the authentic 2015 Championship memorabilia owned by specific members of the team. Think signed jerseys from the entire team, the signed basketball that broke the 73-win record, and sneakers worn by Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, and Festus Ezeli.
Opening June 17th, fans will also get the chance to send messages, selfies, and words of encouragement to their favorite players through the Dialogue wall, an interactive demo to spark conversation with the team via social media. Snap a group photo next to large-scale images of the Warriors and instantly send it their way.
The Warriors exemplify everything that makes Oakland great," said OMCA Director Lori Fogarty. We couldn't agree more. #DubNation
