Order up a bounty of caviar, winter truffles, lobster, steaks, sweets, and bubbly, then propose a toast to the new year—it can only get better from here.
Birdsong
This Michelin-starred restaurant is putting together a spread reminiscent of all the luxury they served up in the Before Times. A fancy surf-and-turf meal kit will include everything you need to assemble lobster rolls at home—think two pounds of lobster, lobster brain aioli, marinated lettuce, fermented walnut and grilled shell XO sauce, and Parker House buns—plus dry-aged beef tartare. Sorrel is boxing up a seasonal Cal-American dinner kit this New Year's. Your meal will begin with oysters with rosé mignonette and caviar with the usual accompaniments. Follow that up with their insanely yummy sourdough focaccia, a bowl of sunchoke soup, and a winter chicory salad. The main event is a dry-aged duck with truffle potato gratin, plus a sweet yule log finale. There are only 50 kits available, so order one fast. New Year's Eve will be like any other night at Che Fico—decadent! A la carte dishes, portioned for two or four people, will include a caviar spread with crème fraîche and chestnut crespelle crepes; white truffle tagliatelle pasta; black truffle lasagna; and dry-aged rib roast with potato gratin. No so into caviar and truffles? Make it festive with Calavera's party packs for groups of two to six people. Every order comes with a bottle of bubbles, guacamole, an arugula-frisee salad with oranges; mushroom ceviche; and—bonus—party accessories! Choices of entrees include roasted lobster tails, grilled New York steak, roasted duck breast, or an oven-roasted veggie medley. Sweet tooths won't be mad about chocolate bread pudding made with a Firebrand croissant loaf and TCHO chocolate. Mezcal and tequila flights, plus wine, are also available. Ready to go all out? Homestead is on it.
