Oakland Music Festival Hits the Streets
WHAT: The 4th annual Oakland Music Festival (OMF) kicks off its first weeklong festival, featuring nine days of music, art, panels and workshops focused on sustaining, showcasing and fostering Oakland's music and arts community. This year's headliners include heavy-hitters such as Masego, LAKIM (Soulection), Nick Catchdubs and Oakland's own indie rockers The Tambo Rays and rapper/producer Jay Ant. Come prepared to dance.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Returns to Golden Gate Park
WHAT: HSB is back again! Pack a picnic and enjoy timeless tunes from musicians such as CAKE, Boz Scaggs, Cyndi Lauper, and many more this weekend.

Re:Make
WHAT: Calling all makers.Re:Make is a two-day summit and conference designed to explore creativity in the modern world with talks from top female entrepreneurs and businesswomen including Tyra Banks, Sophia Amoruso, and Katia Beauchamp of Birchbox. On Sunday, the free festival includes DIY classes and projects, nearly 100 of Brit + Co's favorite artisans, SF's best food trucks, and live performances from talented musicians and artists.

Quentin Tarantino Weekend
WHAT: Dive headfirst into the strange worlds of Quentin Tarantino this weekend at the historic Balboa Theatre. The theatre will be showing Tarantino's finest films including Pulp Fiction (Sat. 2pm), Jackie Brown (Sat. 5:15pm), and Inglourious Basterds (Sat. 8pm)—and that's just day one. On Sunday, head back to the theatre for Kill Bill Volume I and II.

Castro Street Fair
WHAT: As if you didn't already have enough going on, the 43rd Annual Castro Street Fair takes place this Sunday. Founded by Harvey Milk in 1974, the fair offers tons of live entertainment, local vendors and lots of dance parties.
