LEVYdance uses ethnic Persian dance to explore visceral responses that may or may not impact our daily lives and choices.
Named after a form of bluesy Greek music, Rebetiko digs up the islands’ history in this Kunst-Stoff world premiere, choreographed by the acclaimed Yannis Adoniou. A wistful postmodern folk dance - complete with vocalist and shadow theater artist - it’s an innovative portrayal of sorrow and oppression via dance.
