We already know that Childish Gambino and Paul Simon are among the biggest names taking the stage at Outside Lands this summer; but the almost-as-anticipated food and drink lineup just dropped, which means it's time to start planning your meals—nearly three months in advance. Hey, we're san Franciscans.
And with 80 restaurant offerings and countless pours of beer and wine, this year's festival (August 9-11) guarantees you can stay busy eating and drinking even if you don't love all the bands.
Look out for the usual favorites such as Rich Table's porcini doughnuts with raclette cheese; crunch into Sorrel's fried chicken sandwiches with jalapeño slaw; grab some crispy pork egg rolls from FOB Kitchen; or satisfy your sweet tooth with Humphry Slocombe's Secret Breakfast sundae.
This year's lineup also includes 15 impressive first-timers at the festival including Fillmore Street's newly opened Noosh, which will be serving up Aleppo chicken and grilled mushroom pita sandwiches; and popular Oakland pop-up Chef Smelly's Creole & Soul Food, whose Surf and Turf fries and Dungeness crab and lobster fries may change your fry-eating life. Healthy eaters will be glad to find juices and smoothies from Project Juice, while vegans should look out for Xolo's Impossible burritos.
Bring your refillable water bottle and stay hydrated as the adult beverage options abound: Wine Lands is back with a selection of 125 wines from 46 wineries, while Beer Lands will include 31 local breweries. If relaxing with a craft cocktail is more your speed, Cocktail Magic is also set to house five local mixologists new to OSL—think Starline Social Club and The Snug—alongside OG participant 15 Romolo.
You might seriously consider fasting this July.
