Ever wonder what's inside that ernestly scribbled upon notebook of your local coffee shop's resident artist? No doubt he's tried to show you numerous times, and it probably didn't quite live up to all those hours of work (and angst) that you've seen him put in. Instead, cruise over to Moleskine to check out the winners of their recent MyDetour contest.
Artists from around the city entered their notebooks filled with pages of drawings, words, paintings, and general creative sweat and tears to be judged by a panel of distinguished folks, including the co-founder of 826 Valencia and the creative director of Chronicle Books. The winners have been drawn, and now you get a chance to page through their entries. All the selected books will be included in future exhibitions around the world, including an upcoming show in Tokyo. If your frequent flyer miles aren't yet ready to cover that ticket you can also see them now at Moleskine. First place winner Sean Ford wil accompany her winning entry to Japan and is set with free Moleskines for life - that's a lot of notebooks. Be thankful they're not in the hands of coffee shop guy.
