On September 27, one of San Francisco's most-famed streets became the venue for a lively street fair celebrating the fall fashion season.
The event's presenting partners included Macy's and Recology, and was hosted by the Union Square Business Improvement District, as well as the Fashion Incubator—an integral part of a growing movement to revitalize San Francisco's fashion industry, providing workshop space at Macy's downtown offices, as well as training and mentorship from our fashion and economic development communities.
Guests at the private event enjoyed a bevy of bites from local businesses like La Boulange, Hops & Hominy, and Cako; delicious wines from cultivar Napa Valley; icy beer from Red Stripe and Guinness Black Lager; cocktails with Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur; warming cups of Nespresso; and refreshing beverages from Acqua Panna and Pellegrino.
Local stylist Owen Buenaventura also staged a fun fashion display with models from JE Model SF and styling from the famed Joseph Cozza Salon.
A silent auction and raffle to benefit the Fashion Incubator included generous prizes from American Conservatory Theater, Arthur Beren, diptyque, Glory Chen, Gump's San Francisco, Safeway's Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square, Joseph Cozza Salon, Lomography, London Sole, Marc Jacobs, Nespresso, Orphan's Kisses, Otis, Pashma, Paul Smith, Scala's Bistro, and Taj Campton Place San Francisco.
