The KUSF saga continues. Supporters of the university's beloved community radio station will gather today for a peaceful rally outside City Hall before the Board of Supes meeting. The Board is being called on to review the legality of the sale of 90.3 FM on a local level. Get up to speed on the scandal here.
Lawyers are obviously involved on the legal level, but a public forum will be held after the supes' meeting for anyone who wants to voice a formal complaint. Save KUSF will also host a show with Barn Owl and Phil Manley at the Hemlock tonight as yet another platform to get the word out that the FCC has not approved the sale of 90.3 FM. If you care about saving the station, here's how you can get involved.
Sign the petition. Email USF's Board of Trustees — boardoftrustees@usfca.edu. Contact your SF Supervisor immediately to urge him/her to sign on as a co-sponsor of the KUSF resolution when Sup. Mirkarimi introduces it at the meeting today. Details and links can be found online at Save KUSF. Info on today's events below.
