What would you say if we told you that your hairstylist, nail girl, esthetician and faux-tan sprayer have combined forces and settled behind one giant orange-and-white striped awning in Russian Hill?
No, you're not dreaming. Say hello to your new grooming mecca, Beauty Company.
Though the shop and Salon have been staples on Polk St. for eight years, owner Sherri Ziesche recently decided to move half a block down to much roomier digs to be able to provide her customers with everything necessary to keep them looking their best.
Walk through the front door and into the sunlight-filled retail section to find a rare and beautiful thing, an entire wall stocked full of men's grooming products that range from moisturizer to mustache wax. Of course they also have every beauty product a lady could possibly need, along with their own Fabulous Five skincare line that includes face cleanser, moisturizer, spot treatments and more for under $20.
Venture further to find plush chairs where you can indulge on the cheap with the $25 Cash Is King special for a classic mani/pedi.
But the real star of the show is the waxing vault. Ziesche decided to take full advantage of the fact they're housed in an old bank, leaving the massive steel door in tact. What goes on behind it could be considered robbery of sorts, as you're stripped of unsightly hair at the brow stations or behind the curtain for...well, you know.
And if somehow you're still left wanting more, head upstairs to Bronze Alley to get your real or spray tan on.
Facials and an expanded hair salon are still in the works for the next few months, but rest assured you'll leave glowing regardless.
