Have you been to Sens Restaurant on the Embarcadero? It's got one of the most popular happy hours in the city (complete with a DJ!), and one of the best balcony views to boot. The Mediterranean-inspired hot spot celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, and its menu has reached new levels of excellence. This summer, be sure to try sophisticated bites from Bay Area veteran Chef Michel Adams, who's worked at spots like Rivoli, LaRue Brasserie, and the Metropolitan Club. Here, Adams highlights his favorite menu items for all your summer adventures at Sens.
Poached Turkish Apricots (above)
A staple on Sens’ menu, the Poached Turkish Apricots displays Sens’ modern approach to classic Mediterranean cuisine. Tender apricots stuffed with chicken braised in Moroccan spices and garnished with spiced yogurt and candied pistachios.
Grilled Spanish Octopus
Although the dish changes seasonally, the foundation stays the same, the best grilled octopus you will ever have. Imported octopus, braised until tender and then grilled to achieve a light char. Tossed with olive oil and fresh lemon to finish.
California Lamb
Local, organic lamb sirloin and housemade merguez sausage marinated and grilled “brochette” style served with a variety of accompaniments that change seasonally and presented tableside.
If you were lucky enough to score entry to our Best of the City party next week, you'll be able to try these delicious bites from Sens Restaurant!
