Start off the new year with these inspiring art and design events around the Bay!
While the brick and mortar SF MoMA is under renovation, you can still enjoy an ongoing selection of art events stationed around the city. Third Thursdays in Yerba Buena encourage you to “get your culture on” and enjoy design installations, contemporary art books, and browse children’s toys, posters, and innovative SF MoMA products. Enjoy these creative sights and inquire about getting a wrist band at participating galleries for an all-night happy hour at select bars and restaurants! Every third Thursday, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. SF MoMA Museum Store, 51 Yerba Buena Lane, San Francisco.
TechShop San Francisco is ringing in the new year with a whole new list of classes where you can learn, practice, and perfect hands-on skills like soldering, welding, sewing, and silkscreen and 3D printing. Take a look at the class calendar here and secure your space online. Classes start January 2nd and are offered daily. 926 Howard Street, San Francisco.
