I'm counting down my top five most anticipated events during the San Francisco Cocktail Week, starting in just four days. All these events are opened to the public. Just look on the SFCW Website for info on buying tickets.
My number 4 is … The North Beach Historical Bar Crawl and Cocktail Tour. Hosted by one of the SF's best drinkers (she's also a diner and author of Tablehopper newsletter), Marcia Gagliardi, this tour includes drinks and either a self-guided or accompanied wander through some of the most important places in SF's cocktail firmament, like Vesuvio, Tosca, Savoy Tivoli, etc. Should be really fun, both to try all the drinks but also to get to walk around one of the city's most colorful neighborhoods.

Show up at Vesuvio’s anytime after 2:30 pm in order to pick up your map and a drink card, which is good for one $5.00 cocktail at each participating bar. Join us for an informal cocktail crawl throughout North Beach, as we visit some of San Francisco’s most legendary bars. We will gather at Vesuvio at around 2:30 pm, where official Cocktail Week drink cards and a map of the crawl will be passed out to attendees. Once you’ve received your drink cards and map, you are free to wander North Beach’s Historic Bars on your own, or you can come along on one of our “guided” tours. Bars included in the tour are, Vesuvio, SF Brew, Taverna Aventine, Tosca Cafe, and we’ll be finishing up at the Savoy Tivoli. The drink cards will be good for one $5.00 featured cocktail at each bar.
