SF Ballet presents its final two mixed bills of the 2013 season (followed by Cinderella in May) with alternating performances peppered throughout the rest of this week.
Program 6 brings Rudolf Nureyev’s classical dance Raymonda Act III, Val Caniparoli’s dramatic, stray-from-societal-norms Ibsen’s House, and Edwaard Liang’s spiritual Symphonic Dances set to the complex music of Rachmaninov. Program 7 features Helgi Tomasson’s Criss-Cross (last seen in 1999), Francesca da Rimini, the riveting love story based on Dante’s Inferno and set to an intense Tchaikovsky score, and Balanchine’s high-energy Symphony in Three Movements.
