The Newly Expanded SF Aritzia Is Feeling Itself
And with good reason—just days ago, the much-loved Canadian fashion retailer revealed a stunning makeover of its Westfield San Francisco Centre store. Virtually unrecognizable, the now two-level space features more than 11,000 square feet—making it the largest Aritzia in the Bay Area. If you loved shopping here before, prepare to be blown away by the chic new look, the lovely lighting, the oak tables, the stucco walls, the welcoming lounges, the plethora of plants, the eye-catching murals and the herringbone marble floors. And most importantly there's an abundance of stylish clothing and accessories, including all the latest and exclusive capsule collections. We'll be making a beeline for the cozy-cool sweater section (hoping to find this beauty). // 865 Market St. (Union Square), aritzia.com

This New App Is the Answer to Womankind's Biggest Conundrum
Naturally, we speak of the age-old question: What am I going to wear today? In fact, it's this niggly issue that led to ThreadWeather's recent birth. One morning last year, Oakland fourth-grader Lily Albin was watching her mom prepping to get dressed, browsing through her closet with one eye on her phone's weather app while dear ol' dad was scrolling through street-style looks on Instagram. Why can't the images and the weather come together in one place, she wants to know. They can: fast-forward to today and Lily's idea is a reality thanks to help from her UX designer father and ThreadWeather CEO Patrick Albin. It's all about bringing style and fashion inspiration matched to the day's weather into one easy-to-use tool, he explains. And, of course, there's shopping: Buying directly from your favorite influencers and brands is a cinch—purchase one item or an entire look all in one place cart. Oh, Lily, how we [heart emoji] thee! Currently available on iPhone. // threadweather.com
Birdies Lands in Cow Hollow
All the cool kids, or at least those seeking super soft slippers with the support of sneakers and the look of designer shoes, are crowing about Birdies' first real-world store. The new 1,500-square-foot haven on Union Street is bright, airy and designed to look like a beautiful home—the ideal place for Birdie-wearing. The two-year-old digitally native label is the hatchling of two longtime friends Bianca Gates and Marisa Sharkey. They founded the brand because they couldn't find a slipper on the market that checked all their boxes—"something fashionable yet incredibly comfortable and made to finish off your outfit while making everyone around you feel at home." Although designed to be worn indoors, the slippers have rubber soles (i.e. heading outside is OK). P.S. A little birdie told us Meghan Markle is a fan. We're thinking the regal Goldfinch would be perfect for tiptoeing around Buckingham Palace, don't you? // Prices start at $140, 1934 Union St. (Cow Hollow), birdiesslippers.com
