A Mad Hatters' Party

The locally based purveyor of luxe Tuscan-made leather hat cases and handbags is celebrating the debut of its own chapeau collaboration with Hampui Hats. Pac Heights Lures Another Denim Player

The jeans mecca known as Fillmore Street just welcomed another member to the club. Last week, Los Angeles–based Frame, makers of denim with a decidedly European bent, opened its third brick-and-mortar. (Stores one and two are in L.A. and NYC.) Finally, those of us still mourning the closing of the Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique that used to live here have reason to shop again. The bright, light-filled space with a comfy seating area at its center, is home to a not-overstuffed selection of denim for men and women, as well as shirts, sweaters and jackets, including store exclusives. Chi-Town Designer Pops up in Potrero

Maria Pinto and her fall M2057 collection are packed and ready to make the trip from their Chicago hometown to Potrero Hill for a weeklong pop-up. Even if you're not familiar with the designer and her chic sculptural creations, a couple of her power-player clients will surely ring a bell. Heard of Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama? Inspiration for the new line comes from urban architecture and springs to life via minimalist (but not boring) dresses, jackets, trousers and tops made of high-tech Italian fabrics. Jenni Kayne Has an Epiphany
