We Just Found Your New Go-To Facialist in Cow Hollow
Need to get your rosacea under control, diminish the appearance of fine lines or simply swap dull skin for a radiant glow? Have we got an aesthetician for you: Meet Kayla Franzblau, owner of the one-year-old Kayla Jeanne Aesthetics, located on Union Street (near Laguna). The New York transplant—with, no surprise, the most gorgeous skin on the planet—worked with celebrity facialists Joanna Vargas and Ildi Pekar before moving out West.
Our advice: Make an appointment (60 or 75 minutes) and just let Kayla do her thing. She's known for working her magic with multiple hi-tech therapies: "I include infrared LED light, microcurrent lifting, medical-grade oxygen, and diamond microdermabrasion. These treatments work in combination with nano-technology to pump the product deep into the skin," she says. Facials cost between $115 and $205. Worth every penny. // 1905 Union St. (Cow Hollow), kaylajeanneaesthetics.com
Sit Front Row at Silicon Valley Fashion Week (in SF)
Every night at 7pm on October 20, 21 and 22, there will be models, catwalks and fashions at Gantry in San Francisco. But the real runway stars of Silicon Valley Fashion Week?! are sure to be the robots, drones and wacky inventions from some of the Bay Area's coolest tech companies and designers. The event—sponsored by Betabrand (everybody's favorite crowdfunded clothier and maker of the Poo Emoji Dress) and Zappos—is sure to be a hot ticket.
Along with the three shows (Step Into the Future, The Most Photographed Show on Earth and the Grand Finale + Costume Party) expect lots of fun, cocktails, Cirque de Soleil performers and a llama or two (yes, real llamas). Tix for one show are $20; $50 for all three shows. // Gantry is located at 1425 Market St. (Civic Center), For more info and to purchase tickets, go to betabrand.com
