R Label Opens on Fillmore (for a Month)

Four-month-old R Label, maker of pitch-perfect wardrobe essentials, just launched its first pop-up shop in the former Gimme Shoes space (RIP). Through October 6th, you'll be able to scoop up modern timeless pieces in luxe fabrics and flattering silhouettes—at prices that won't make you cringe. Keep an eye out for fresh fall additions to the SF brand's small-but-mighty lineup. Universal Standard Pops up at Nordies

The curve-loving, digital-first women's clothing brand Universal Standard is currently road-tripping—and SF is on the itinerary from Thursday, September 21st through Sunday, September 24th. Nordstrom, at Westfield San Francisco Centre, will play host for the first three days (11am to 7pm), where shoppers will be greeted by the cool modern essentials (sizes 10–28) for which the much-adored label is known. Founders Polina Veksler and Alexandra Waldman will be on hand, as well. On Sunday (11am to 2pm), aspiring models should hightail it to Jules Maeght Gallery, where Universal will be holding a trunk show and hunting for the star of its next national campaign. Fall for American Giant's New Collection

American Giant's new fall styles for guys and girls have arrived—and, naturally, we're all about the pieces made in Oaktown. A Next-Gen Home Décor Retailer Debuts

Meet Batch. It's a brand-new showroom that's serving up an innovative way to shop for furniture, art, beauty, food, electronics and more. They are calling it "contextual commerce," which means the store is designed to look like a home where stuff is placed where it should be. In other words, you're meant to open drawers, closets and cabinets and, ya know, buy what's in there. Products from local, international and online-only brands are woven into the gorgeous space and will be refreshed often. Get Your Sweaty Betty on in Cow Hollow

With the recent opening of London-based Sweaty Betty on Union Street, Cow Hollow's main drag furthers its rep as SF's Workout-Wear Central.
