Armistead Maupin at Levi's Store Castro
WHAT: Local icon Armistead Maupin is celebrating the new omnibus editions of his best-selling Tales of The City series—all nine of his novels squeezed into three easy-to-carry paperbacks—tonight at the Levi's on Castro Street. The special event will feature drinks, a reading, a book signing, and a chance to see the new winter men's collections from Levi's.

Silent Night Skate Party
WHAT: The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square is hosting its first-ever silent disco skate party Thursday night. Wireless headphones will allow skaters to listen and dance on the ice to any of the three music channels available including WILD 94.9 live, 106.1 KMEL and iHeart 80s. This special night will also include prizes and giveaways. Tickets are $3-$12.

SweaterCon: The San Francisco Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl
WHAT: If SantaCon wasn't enough for you, this weekend's SweaterCon will be taking over some of the best bars in the city for a holiday pub crawl complete with cheap drinks, sketchy holiday decorations and even a few gifts for some lucky crawlers. Although costumes are not required, this is a great opportunity to throw on your best ugly Christmas sweater, Hanukkah-inspired gear, or other holiday garb. Check in anytime at Mayes to receive your wristband and pub crawl map, then you can choose your own adventure. Tickets are $7-$12.

WHAT: The SF Indie Mart is back with a holiday show featuring 25 vendors selling handmade art, design, and more. There will also be areas for DIY crafts and free giftwrap stations, as well as food and drink specials such as beers from Anchor Brewing. This show is sure to be hyper local and super affordable.

SFMade Holiday Gift Fair at California College of the Arts
WHAT: SFMade is holding its sixth annual holiday gift fair, featuring locally made gift items from over 60 different SFMade vendors. The shoppable goods include jewelry, bags, chocolate, wine, home items, apparel, body products, children's toys, holiday cards and decorations, and stationery. Shoppers can also purchase artwork from CCA students.
