It's an all-star week of openings and events in the South Bay this week, spanning some of our most favorite things — beer, bacon, sandwiches, and Blue Bottle Coffee.
This week marked the grand opening of the very first Peninsula-based Blue Bottle Coffee, located in HanaHaus coworking space and cafe. Expect their usual roster of top-notch baked goods, a Kees van der Westen Spirit espresso machine, and a mini-keg of New Orleans iced coffee.
Speaking of San Francisco favorites moving south. Pacifica is now home to Prime Dip Gourmet Sandwiches, slinging their decadent dippable sandwiches. Expect a selection of dips (ranging from lobster to prime rib), subs, and salads, plus sides including macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach.
Finally, spend your Saturday in fine form at the San Jose Bacon and Beer Classic. Behold a swath of breweries (including Calicraft and Lagunitas), bacon-rich goodies from a number of restaurants and food carts, live music, and educational seminars covering topics including beer brewing and pig butchering.
