Ever since the 1767 Church Street (formerly the Church Street Apothecary, but that’s another story) closed earlier this year and rumors started bouncing around the Twitterverse that Deirdre Nagayama and Stacy Rodgers of She-Bible would take over the Noe Valley boutique and open their own called Curator in its place, we’ve been eagerly waiting to get in the door.
So we were thrilled to get a sneak peek of the charmingly petite store yesterday and loved what we saw: She-Bible’s versatile cotton dresses and comfy tops, Blank jeans and Sofie Olgaard apparel on the racks surrounding a central workspace the designers intend to put to good use while customers shop.
“We’re going to see people try stuff on, and it’s going to kind of inform our design process,” says Nagayama.
Clothing by Brooklyn-based Mary Meyer and San Francisco label Micaela Greg is on its way, and the owners have plans to carry a selection of children’s apparel and roll out art shows in the coming months.
Though the official grand opening celebration won’t take place until they’ve unpacked all the boxes and fully suited up the space with soon-to-arrive merchandise and art, the doors are open during the afternoon (except on Mondays), though exact store hours are still being hammered out.
Curator is located at 1767 Church Street (at Day) in San Francisco.
