Boba Guys Expansion Headed To Former Auto Body Shop On Divisadero, Hoodline
Back in June, we heard a rumor that Boba Guys—the popular local chain specializing in bubble milk tea—might be taking over the bottom floor of the old auto body shop at 838 Divisadero St. Now, it appears the rumors were true, as Socketsite reports today that Boba Guys is in fact headed to the Divisadero corridor. The second story of the building is still slated to become "Che Fico", a 115-seat Italian restaurant headed up by chefs David Nayfeld and Matt Brewer. Read more...

Two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry hit nothing but net in announcing his choice for president on Tuesday. Asked "Hillary or Trump?" at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, Curry answered, "Hillary." Curry was interviewed on many topics by TechCrunch's Jordan Crook, who launched a "lightning round" segment. She would mention two names, such as "Larry Bird or Magic Johnson?" and asked Curry to choose one. When she queried, "Hillary or Trump?" Curry responded with an "ooooh" and said, "Hillary." Museum-goers, prepare yourselves for "unprecedented intimacy with a work of art." Starting Friday, visitors to the Guggenheim are encouraged to relieve themselves in a fully functional toilet cast in 18-karat gold called America, which will be on display indefinitely. A quarter of all video clips captured by Oakland police body-worn cameras during stops and investigations were accidentally deleted nearly two years ago when city employees installed a software upgrade, the former head of the camera unit said Tuesday. The revelations came from Oakland police Sgt. London Is More Expensive than San Francisco for Tech Start-Ups, CNBC
London has been named as the most expensive city in the world for technology start-ups to open offices, trumping New York and San Francisco, potentially stifling its ability to create the next Google or Twitter, according to a new report. Estate agent Knight Frank looked at the cost of leasing and fitting-out 600 square foot of office space in tech and creative districts in the world's leading cities. Start-ups looking at London's Shoreditch area, a hotbed of tech start-ups, will have to fork out $66,706 per year. This is followed by Brooklyn in New York, which costs $62,736 on average, and Mid-Market in San Francisco, which will set start-ups back by $61,680 a year. Read more...
