Head chef Jen Puccio and mixologist Gabriel Freiberg of The Cavalier poured their new Hangar 1 Vodka summer cocktail for the very first time this past week at local tech startup Lookout's product launch happy hour.
After hunting for the best local farmers market ingredients to infuse their Hangar 1 Vodka, Puccio and Freiberg worked relentlessly to come up with a brand new cocktail fit for a local startup's product launch party. The result: "Smashed & Stoned" made with cherries, white peach, and apricot stones, all smashed for their nutty flavor. Puccio put her culinary prowess to work by preparing delicate ham & cheese soldiers with goat butter hollandaise inside hundreds of hollowed egg shells, as a compliment to the team's bomb new cocktail. Needless to say, Lookout employees were pleased.
Lookout made it onto our Top 25 Bay Area Startups Making a World of Differencelist for being a local leader in the mobile security field. It just so happens that the company debuted their new #Theftie product the day of their 7x7 Hangout. #Theftie technology allows your phone to snap a picture of a potential thief when turned on and then email you their identity, along with the plotted coordinates of your stolen mobile device. Think of it as a thief selfie, hence #Theftie. Brilliant.
As a famed Bay Area brand itself, Hangar 1 Vodka recognizes the powerful combination of local roots and global dreams. This event series is made possible by a team of top California names including 7x7, The Cavalier, Lookout, Best Beverage Catering, BloomThat, Nikki Ritcher Photography, and of course, Hangar 1 Vodka.
