The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel is the newest destination for meetings, events, celebrations, and holiday parties.

The recent renovation of the hotel's guest rooms, lobby experience, and more are a nod to its iconic past, taking inspiration from its original craftsmanship but designed for modern needs.

The stunning and tech-focused boardroom has floor-to-ceiling windows and seats 26 people. Meanwhile the acclaimed Spanish Suite, formerly the private home of the late Frederick C. Clift, now serves as a special event space with 2,300 square feet inside and a terrace with city views.

The Clift also offers an 1,112-square-foot private apartment that has the feel of a posh city penthouse with a distinctly modern twist. It's perfect for events and meetings, offering a special alternative to the typical gathering space.

Originally constructed for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915, the hotel takes a hint from that time period. Even the meeting and event spaces honor those who played a large part in cultivating that historic fair: The space formerly known as the Velvet Room, and before that Asia de Cuba, is now named after George Applegarth, the original architect of The Clift.

The hotel continues to deliver legendary personal service as well as exemplary catering, now helmed by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Corey, who will also oversee the recently revamped Redwood Room with its original redwood and marquetry, and a new eatery, Fredericks, complete with a high-end coffee program, gourmet pastries, snacks, and elevated comfort food.
