Punk is having a profound presence in fashion right now, from local rock star Christopher Owens starring in Hedi Slimane's debut campaign for Saint Laurent to the much anticipated Met exhibit PUNK: Chaos to Couture in New York.
Here, Owen's former bandmate Ariel Pink and Bay Area model Haley Sutton are shot against San Francisco's pastel hues for fashion's hard-soft mix seen in the July/August issue of 7x7. The look: Punk meets the '60s with a wink to Ziggy Stardust.
Pink is also having a moment. He will be one of the star performers on artist Doug Aitken's much anticipated train-art project, Station to Station, which treks from Brooklyn to Oakland in September. Also, this Summer, Pink is working on a horror-film set in Haight Ashbury in the late 1960's, check out the exclusive interview on Dossier Journal for more.
