Off the Grid, the Bay Area's roaming mobile food court, opened their first-ever permanent market today—the Courtyard. Located within The Yard at Mission Rock, billed as a "pop-up shipping container village" for the gastronic set, the Courtyard joins Anchor Brewery, which opened in the same spot last week.
In addition to two rotating vendors, the Courtyard will feature three permanent eateries including Señor Sisig, Proposition Chicken, and Humphrey Slocombe. And the Wine Bus—housed inside a converted school bus—offers wine, beer, and other gourmet food options.
Situated near AT&T Park, the Courtyard will also make the perfect spot to host events—Giants-themed, ideally. But this doesn't mean Off the Grid will stop hosting culinary bashes elsewhere. Be sure to keep abreast of their schedule, paying special attention to their regular parties in the Presidio—my favorite.
The Courtyard by Off the Grid. Monday – Sunday: 11 am – 8 pm. Corner of 3rd Street and Terry Francois Blvd.
