Museums, suffering like the rest of the world to get people in the doors, are turning toward interactive, multidimensional programming—are we're all benefitting from it. The Asian Art Museum will kick off its series, Matcha, on Thursday, June 18 with an unparalleled sake and tea event. You can drop in for a tasting and multi-media presentation led by Kirsten Shilakes, a noted art history lecturer, savor the nuanced bouquet of primo sake with Miwa Wang from Hayes Valley shop True Sake, take a stroll through the galleries (including a special stop to check out the Lords of the Samurai exhibit), sit in on a green tea ceremony and talk, or just enjoy the museum while listening to DJ spun music (and, of course, sipping a sake-tini). Much better than your average date night, we'd say.
We're giving away two sets of two tickets to the event—all you have to do to win them is let us know in the comment box your favorite place in San Francisco to drink sake. The winners will be randomly selected from the respondents.
