The SF Library Book Sale Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary With...A Book Sale!
19 April 2011
What with libraries being all hip now, we thought we'd let you in on the latest happenings over at the SF Public Library and its awesome booster organization, the Friends of the SF Public Library. To celebrate our city book emporium's 50th year of epic book sales, the Friends are staging the library's first-ever mid-year sale, featuring a quarter of a million books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl and other multimedia goodies waiting to be taken home with you.
But there's something else that makes this bookssale a special one: everything will be $3 or less. Hard cover books are the ones topping out at $3, while paperbacks are $2. All the CDs, DVDs and vinyl will set you back $1, and come Sunday (the last day), everything left will also be $1. And as always, every cent benefits the SF Public Library's heroic literacy education programs for people of all ages. Don't be surprised if you're walking out with your arms full of books! It happens to the best of us.
It all takes place for a whopping four days, from April 21-24 at Fort Mason Pavilion, from 10 am to 6 pm. Click here for all the information you need.
