The SF Symphony's holiday concert lineup is really heating up. Whether you've got a hot date, or want to take friends from out of town for a special night on the town, be sure to grab tickets to one of the Symphony's winter concerts as soon as you can, because they're selling out fast.

We've got our eye on the performance of the Colors of Christmas(December 10-12), which is an annual tradition at Davies Symphony Hall. You'll hear Grammy® Award-winner Peabo Bryson, Marilyn McCoo, Billy Davis Jr.,  James Ingram, and Stephanie Mills perform an unforgettable evening of pop hits and Christmas favorites with the San Francisco Symphony. When you buy tickets, you'll be entered for a chance to win a set of CDs autographed by each of the artists.

Also on our radar is Handel's Messiah, (December 13-15), and the SF Symphony's performance of the classic offers a truly perspective–not an easy feat. Composed in 1741, it reportedly was a favorite work of Beethoven for its “sublimity of language.” For modern listeners, it holds a place of reverence in the canon for its universal appeal and timeless expression.

And, of course, there's the special appearance of legendary singer-songwriter Judy Collins, who performs with the Symphony on December 19. This Grammy Award-winning artist has been the soundtrack to many lives throughout the decades she's been doing her thing. In this special holiday performance, Collins takes the audience on a journey showcasing her unforgettable, wide-ranging vocal talents, performing ballads from her vast songbook, along with special holiday songs, all delivered in her singular style.
