The Snug Opens
The Snug, a new bar on Fillmore St, opened last week bringing craft beer, inventive cocktails, and refined bar food to Pac Heights. Behind the bar is Jacob Racusin (Bar Alembic), who will be creating contemporary versions of classic cocktails that feature elements made in-house such as Manhattans made with shitake-infused Japanese whisky and a house-blended amaro. In the kitchen, Brian Shin (Benu, Alinea) is at the helm, who is putting a twist on traditional bar food (think: pork trotter hot togs with cucumber, perilla, and mustard; housemade spam musubi lettuce wraps, and Korean fried chicken). Brunch and outdoor seating is soon to come. // 2301 Fillmore St. (Pacific Heights), thesnugsf.com
