The Watershed Project is having its annual fundraiser gala at The Aquarium of the Bay to support the project's Living Shoreline Initiative. Waterbar, Slanted Door, and Greens, with oysters from Hog Island, Tomales Bay, and Drakes Bay will be there, along with local wineries and brews. Tickets are $50 at at Eventbrite. Pop-up pizza pie makers Pizza Politana, Casey's, Copper Top Ovens, and Fist of Flour are going head-to-head at Coffee Bar as part of the San Francisco Nomadic Pizza Throw-Down to benefit Japan disaster relief efforts. Admission costs $12 admission and comes with slice, drink, and voting tokens. It all goes down from 6 to 9 p.m. 1890 Bryant St.

Dolores Park revelers might want to check out the second annual Veggie Fiesta in the Mission High School parking lot. Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Bi-Rite Market, Nextcourse, and Off the Grid's food trucks, including Toasty Melts and Liba Falafel, are selling healthy, seasonal bites as a fundraiser for the school's Eat UR Veggies nutrition education program. Also, Audubon Canyon Ranch is hosting a MFK Fisher-inspired food and wine benefit at its Bouverie Preserve from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Award-winning cookbook author Georgeanne Brennan will emcee, while area chefs prepare small plates based on recipes inspired by MFK Fisher’s life, stories, philosophy.
