Canines and their companions gathered at Dolores Park on a recent sunny day to celebrate The Whole Enchihuahua, an event to raise awareness for Chihuahuas, the breed most in need of rescue in Northern California shelters. The event featured plenty of entertainment to keep tails wagging, including:

In addition to activities, The SF SPCA, San Francisco Chihuahua Meetup, Muttville Senior Dog Adoption, Northern California Family Dog Rescue, Loup Garou, Save A Bunny, Wonderdog Rescue, and MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue all had adorable animals looking for loving homes.
The highlight of the afternoon was of course, the costume contest, which gave dogs a chance to hit the catwalk and compete for fabulous prizes.
