What: A doggie meetup and dustup in the Mission District
It's time to whip out your best doggie outfits and costumes and remind your pooch how to strut his or her stuff, because this year's Whole Enchihuahua Catwalk Costume Contest is coming at you. This yearly event, presented by 7x7 and the SF SPCA, is a super fun way to help raise awareness for the plight of the mighty chihuahua. They're the breed most in need of rescue: hundreds of the little guys and gals are routinely found in shelters around the country, waiting for help, healing, and hugs.
The competition is fierce, and amazing prizes and bragging rights are at stake; click here to catch a glimpse of what past pups have shown up wearing! Don't have a costume? No problem! Spin the prize wheel to win one at the event, or join us for costume making with Workshop SF. No dog? We'll help you meet adoptable dogs who would love to go home with you! For pet owners, there will be advice and training services, so you can be the best you can be! There's something for everyone–even food trucks to fill you up during your day in the park.
There's a ton more info to come, so keep checking back here, as well as our Facebook page and sfspca.org.
