Widmer Brothers, one of Oregon's leading craft breweries, is taking their show on the road with an "Explore Your Craft" tour, featuring all-you-can-eat-and-drink food and beer pairings. They've already visited Boston, and SF is next on the list (to be followed by Orlando and Seattle).

For SF's event, they've taken over the Great American Music Hall, drafting GAMH chef James Whitmore to create a serious spread of SF-themed treats designed to pair with a lineup of nine Widmer brews. The bounty is divided into four categories: Cow Hollow (spiced nuts and a variety of local cheeses), Fisherman's Wharf (ginger-lemongrass mussels, snapper ceviche, fish and chips), the Mission (Spanish baby back ribs, chicken achiote sliders, chicken mole), and Downtown Desserts (butterscotch pudding, raspberry truffles, coffee-chocolate brownies).

Every menu item on the list has a beer pairing to go with it, and while some of the brews are standard fare, like Widmer's flagship hefeweizen, there are also some small-batch, barrel-aged, and otherwise high-octane treats on draft, from the KGB imperial stout to the Galaxy barleywine.

The price for an evening of unlimited food and beer? A mere $50, which includes a souvenir glass and a beer diary in which to note your favorite pairings. A live band will play, and co-founder Kurt Widmer will be on hand to chat with attendees. Tickets, and the complete menu, are available here.
