Registration for the 9th annual turkey trot is officially closed, so you're off the hook to run in this year's race. But they're still looking for volunteers to help out along the course. But if that's still too much of a commitment, grab a coffee and stand by to watch the show. On Friday, Cafe Du Nord is hosting its own turkey trot of sorts in the form of an all-American music feast with The Whisky Richards, the Windy Hill Bluegrass Band, The B-Stars, and Snap Jackson & The Knock On Wood Players.
When: 8:30 a.m., Thurs. 11/24 and 8 p.m., Fri. 11/25
Where: Golden Gate Park Polo Field and Cafe Du Nord, 2170 Market St.

The evening's musical guests include the renowned Glide Ensemble, the UC Men's Octet, and more. Afterwards, head up to the seventh floor of Macy's to check out Holiday Lane, a feast of elaborately decorated Christmas trees.
