Kite Making at Tomales Bay
Take advantage of the temperate winter weather and go fly a kite this weekend. On Saturday the Tomales Bay State Park will provide free materials to anyone who wants to build a customized flyer. Then let your gorgeous creation soar at Millerton Point overlooking the scenic Tomales Bay. Take along a picnic for the perfect day outdoors. The Seafood Class
Learn how to properly prepare seafood fresh from the Pacific at this class taught by ITK Culinary in Sausalito. The class will focus on classic preparations of Mussels in White Wine served with a crunchy loaf of bread, Classic Sole Meuniere lightly breaded and tossed with lemon butter, Seafood Chowder with a base of seafood stock for thick, creamy goodness, Shrimp Scampi tossed with pasta and red chili flakes, and Butterscotch Pudding (because I don’t think a good seafood dessert exists). A Downton Abbey Evening
Attend a Downton Abbey evening on Sunday for a chance to meet one of the stars of the show and enjoy a reserved seat for the premiere of season 4. The evening begins with a formal dinner at The Image Flow in Mill Valley with special guest Downton’s cook Mrs. Patmore (actress Lesley Nicol). Afterwards luxury cars will drive you to the Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center for a conversation on stage with Leslie Nicol and Zoë Elton (MVFF Director of Programming).
