When speakers aren’t actually experts on the subjects they're discussing, talks tend to get a lot more interesting. So it is with Trampoline Hall, the popular Toronto-based lecture series that asks the compelling questions of our time, like: How often should you call your mother? Why does your Macbook inexplicably perish on its third birthday? What is experimental music? Questions we all ponder and questions Trampoline Hall will answer, probably inaccurately. 

Former speakers include a paddle-wielding pseudo-mobster, the world’s greatest female ping pong player, and an illegal Canadian immigrant who protects her identity with an Incredible Hulk mask. The San Francisco edition boasts an in-depth discussion on experimental music from Andrew Leland, managing editor of McSweeney’s The Believer magazine, who may or may not actually know anything about experimental music. And painter/musician Clare Rojas will talk about going to the gym - whether or not she ever darkens a gym’s door is beside the point.
