Visit the Grand Hyatt San Francisco's New OneUP Restaurant and Lounge for Dynamic Food and Drinks
22 January 2013
Looking to shake up your food and drinking routine? Head to the new OneUP Restaurant & Lounge, a gorgeous American Bistro incorporating classical cooking methods to create unprovincial, artistic and inventive food guaranteed to make your sense say "whoa." Helmed by the talented Chef Adam Nichol, and designed by CSS Architecture (which created San Francisco restaurants Twenty Five Lusk and Barbacco), OneUP is a dynamic and lively spot above the lobby of the recently revamped Grand Hyatt San Francisco.
Perfectly in tune with San Franciscans' sophisticated tastebuds, OneUP honors the great tradition of Northern California’s culinary culture by sourcing local ingredients for its ultra-seasonal menu. This means the eatery's culinary team can provide a unique experience throughout the year, and diners can always expect exciting (and delicious) change. OneUP's whirlwind atmosphere comes thanks to its jewel box kitchen, a welcoming hearth to the intimate dining room, and the large communal chef’s table, which sits directly in front of the kitchen for maximum viewing pleasure.
When you're finished eating to your heart's content, head to OneUP's lounge, where you'll pass through a sleek wine and liquor library, which holds thousands of bottles that make up the extensive wine and liquor program. Behind the bar, you can expect unique, hand-crafted cocktails created by San Francisco master mixologist Scott Beattie. Or you can top off your meal with their selection of local beers and their very own OneUP Whiskey. For this exceptional spirit, Hyatt partnered with local distillery Charbav to offer a 22-month-old, 138-proof whiskey which is only served in the lounge. OneUP lounge will also feature both live music and top Bay Area DJs Tuesday through Saturday in addition to providing a backdrop for the launch of local, up-and-coming artists through monthly events. In short, it's the place to be for foodies and music lovers alike.
