I've seen concerts and short movies in Virtual Reality (VR); I've even played video games. Little did I know, what I've been missing on my VR bucket list was porn movies.

Kink.com has recently launched a beta channel dedicated to VR film, kinkvr.com. There are several intriguing titles—Sister Stairs, Property of Maitress Madeline Marlowe, Two Girls One Fucking Machine, just to name few—starring popular actors and actresses of the local porn industry, including Maitress Madeline, Mike Panic, Ariel X, and Ella Nova. The movies there are targeted to straight, gay, lesbian, and queer and the length of each film is roughly 15 minutes. There are 15 options available. I chose just one. I didn't want to feel overwhelmed by the end of the night.

My initial idea was to see the movie with my "friend," but we haven't been able to meet up, so I decided to have this experience all alone, at my house. You can watch movies on KinkVR.com with three different types of headsets—the expensive Oculus Rift, the Samsung Gear VR, and the most affordable, the Google Cardboard. I used the last, since it was gifted to me awhile ago. You can buy Google Cardboard online, here, for $15.

Since the title made me laugh, I picked Property of Maitress Madeline Marlowe starring Maitress Madeline and Mike Panic. The plot is very simple: Maitress Madeline, in a dominatrix role, seduces and teases Mike Panic who just lays on a bed, receiving Madeline's attentions.The quality of the movie is quite good, but make sure you have good Wi-Fi connection because sometimes it stops to load at, ahem, the juiciest spots.

I wore my headset and clicked play. Immediately I saw, not two centimeters from my eyes, Mike Panic completely naked from the neck down (his face was not visible), and between his legs was the face of Madeline. Wow, I thought, it's like I'm in bed with them. Suddenly, Madeline began to communicate with Mike. The problem with porn films is that they are always from the male point of view, even though it was easy for me to identify with Madeline. On the bed, Madeline touched, kissed, licked and fully enveloped Mike. The experience was so immersive that I felt like I was acting too. I was completely involved in the performance, my body was experiencing the same heat between the two characters, the same pleasure, the same passion, and the same desire to let everything go and just surrender. I felt like I became an active part of what I was seeing on the screen. Although I was not being touched by Madeline or Mike, the feeling of being there with them felt real.

At the end of the movie I had different emotions. For 15 minutes I had been a voyeur. Sometimes I was Mike Panic, sometimes Maitress Madeline. I was sometimes a dominatrix, touching Mike without allowing him to touch me;sometimes I was a submissive, accepting the painful consequences for withholding pleasure from him. For 15 minutes I was playing with my two new friends in their bedroom. I felt the same excitement, the same adrenaline rush, the pleasure and magic of surrender.

I always like watching porn movies with my "friend" because I think it is good for our intimacy and I believe that porn movies are more entertaining if you can share the experience with someone you like. Although I imagine that wearing the VR headset creates a disconnect between the two people sharing the movie. Although the experience was positive, it left me with two questions: Is VR porn going to create a new distance between couples? Or is this an experience for best suited for singles?
