Julia and David split their special day in half, with two receptions and two distinct color palettes as different as night and day.
The dress code for the first half of the day was light, bright, and airy. The bride and groom said their vows beneath a canopy festooned with flowers on the beautiful lawns of Calistoga Ranch. Friends and family clad in different shades of pastel shielded themselves from the sun with ivory paper parasols.
After the ceremony, the couple switched the elegant floral decor for a more stately, opulent red-and-gold theme as guests filled the ranch's wine caves. Inside, partygoers were treated to handmade chocolates, homemade bread, gourmet pastries, and a triple-decker cake studded with raspberries. As guests feasted to their hearts' content, Julia and David took to the subterranean dance floor for the first dance of the evening.
