On an awkward double date at Chick-fil-a during their senior year in high school, Andrew Meyers and Tawny Andersson fell madly in love. Then they went to prom.

After graduation, a six-year long-distance relationship ensued. But Meyers tricked his gf into returning to their hometown, The Woodlands, Texas. She flew in expecting to teach a dance class, but was blindfolded at the airport and driven to meet her honey; there was a picnic, Champagne and, of course, a proposal.

For their big day, the Texans selected The Hideout at Kirkwood for its 40 acres of rugged mountain landscape. Here they could capture a rustic-glam theme. The bride wore a delicate lace gown and carried a giant protea; her bridesmaids wore cream Vera Want frocks. The men were dressed in grey tuxedos with cream ties and matching boutonnieres.

Rustic touches included wooden signs hanging from the trees, stumps for accent tables, and lanterns. At the ceremony, guests sat on log benches, and the alter consisted of logs and branches with white curtains fluttering in the wind. Afterwards, the lovebirds walked through the wooded grounds with the wedding party for photos, indulging in their first moments as husband and wife before making their way to the reception.

Situated in a grove of trees with string lights overhead, the reception was set for cocktails with circular tables covered in white linens. In the center, lanterns sat in a circle of eucalyptus, while the sweetheart table was decorated with a more vivid assortment of florals to match the bride's bouquet. The two made a grand entrance from the barn, ate cake, and danced the night away.
