Wedding Inspiration: After "I dos" at SF City Hall, it was all about the food
15 March 2019
But there was also stunning architecture, wine...and the fire department.
Before the ceremony, Keene and his groomsmen indulged in shaves and beers at Peoples Barber, while Deely and her bridesmaids shared a Champagne toast. They selected the iconic Beaux-Arts SF City Hall as their venue, and tied the knot on the light-filled fourth floor.
Deely wore a classic lace gown with a plunging neckline, buttons down the back, and flowing train, her springy bouquet bursting with shades of peach, plum, and olive. The bridesmaids wore floor-length pomegranate-hued frocks; the groomsmen sported blue-grey suits with white pocket handkerchiefs, patterned ties, and boutonnieres to match the ladies.
After the simple ceremony, it was time to feast on braised short ribs, seared salmon, paella, and all the vino at the Commissary in the Presidio. Allowing the modern space to speak for itself, the couple kept their added decor to a minimum, adorning the tables with florals.
After cutting the cake, guests took over the dance floor and the party was lit—so much so that the fire department showed up and the bash moved outside. Though there was in fact no fire, the wedding party took full advantage of the red fire engine for photo ops.
